    My Current Favorite Food Finds

Its officially Fall, but still feels like summer and my palate hasn't made the transition. I am not quite ready yet for all of the standard fall comfort foods and that's ok because I have some favorite go-to snacks on hand that work well in all seasons. I share what I eat not to compare, but to help others find meal and snack options that may work well for them. So here is what I keep stocked in my kitchen these days..... 1) Chomps: Think of these as a more cleaned up version

    3 Guiltless Pizza Recipes

I am in full support of eating real food to satisfy your cravings. This is important in maintaining a healthy relationship with food and keeping potential binges at bay. But what if the full fat, real deal, guilty pleasure just doesn't fit into your health plan for the day? Get creative in the kitchen and try swapping traditional, and often high calorie, ingredients for healthier options. Check out the recipes below for a few lighter takes on my favorite foodie splurge...Pizz

The Only Three Resolutions You Need to Make in 2016

Let's face it, new year resolutions are silly. In fact, only 14% of people over the age of 30 will actually be successful at achieving their goal. Make 2016 your healthiest year yet by focusing on these three steps: 1. Tackle one problem at a time. Ask yourself, "what is one thing I need and CAN change about my diet right now?". Be as

    The Best Cauliflower Mash Recipe

I have had zero success making this low cal swap.......until now! I was trolling through my October e-version of Food Network Magazine and stumbled upon a cauliflower mash recipe that looked delish and thought I would give it a go. To my surprise, it came out super smooth (like real mashed potatoes!) and tasty. Not only is cauliflower packed with cancer fighting phytonutrients, but a great source of vitamin C, B vitamins, fiber, and loads of good-for-you minerals. Looking to

My Fast Food Picks That Won't Kill Your Diet

I would like to preface this blog with my stance on restaurants and fast food in general. I encourage all of my clients to limit eating out as much as possible so that they can have maximum control over their food......but when life happens, I would rather see someone make an informed decision at a fast food joint, than skipping a meal all together. And because I am only human, that applies to me too! Here are my picks for when I am left less than prepared on the road or look

    Whole Wheat Banana Zucchini Muffins

I love the idea of muffins as a mid-morning or afternoon snack. Portable, tasty and a better alternative to store bought granola bars. I don't love the loads of sugar and processed ingredients that make their way into most most muffin recipes. What's a girl to do? Luckily, I was fully stocked with some local zucchini and too-ripe-to-be-eaten bananas....the perfect foundation to a nutrient dense muffin. What apples are to fall, zucchini is to summer. This veggie is totally ver
